The entrepreneurial itch has followed me my entire life. I've tried to scratch it in more ways than one; some worked, some didn't, and all of it eventually led me where I was supposed to be.
Before becoming a REALTOR®, my family and I lived in D.C., and I was ready for a change. Although our friends lived there, I was fed up with the weather and the traffic. I needed a reset.
My husband came home from work one day and said his employer had opened an office in Naples, Florida. "Let's move," I replied immediately. He looked a little shocked. "Seriously," I continued, "go there and get a feel for your business opportunity." After two years of testing the Naples waters, we packed up our lives and moved our daughters there.
My passion for business started early, as I watched my dad run his own business. I studied finance at Georgetown, but what truly shaped me was my MBA at Darden. Known for being rigorous, Darden did not disappoint. I learned to think critically and work harder than I ever had. It changed my career and my life.
After grad school, I married my high school sweetheart and dove into management consulting. When my first daughter, Avery, was born, I was overwhelmed by love and wanted to be home with her. I loved the work as a consultant, but the constant travel led to burnout. Motherhood became my priority.
Yet, the entrepreneurial itch never left. As I welcomed my three daughters, Avery, Logan, and Skyler. I kept finding business opportunities. I opened a children's gym franchise, JW Tumbles, pouring my heart into it. Then the 2008 recession hit and I had to close the doors after just ten months. It was a tough lesson in timing and the importance of asking for advice.
Then I joined Stella & Dot, a direct sales jewelry company, thinking it would be a short-term gig. Instead, it turned into an eight-year career! I coached 250 women, ran sales meetings, and found joy in mentoring and empowering them. I learned that happiness is a true measure of success.
Although I felt fulfilled by the work, my family’s finances were getting out of control. We'd been changing homes constantly, had little children, and the expenses kept mounting. My husband and I faced the harsh reality of accumulated credit card debt. We felt like we were drowning.
At that point, I needed to move. I wanted a fresh start and the inspiration to get our finances in order. We spent time in Florida visiting my in-laws, and I loved it. So, when the opportunity to relocate to Naples arose, I knew it was our chance.
After the move, I began seriously considering getting my real estate license. For years, friends had told me I’d be a great REALTOR®, but I always hesitated. I knew how demanding the job could be and needed flexibility to care for my daughters, but by then, they were old enough to be more independent. That's when I knew it was time: I loved homes, I'd lived in ten myself, and the thrill of helping people find their next chapter pulled me in.
I got my real estate license in 2018 and the transition was humbling. Building a client base from scratch was daunting, not to mention balancing motherhood and the demands of the job. I almost quit, but thanks to good mentorship, I found my way. I'm grateful that I stuck with it: real estate has given me the fulfillment of growing a business while helping clients in a meaningful way.
When I'm not working, you'll find me outdoors with my family, boating or chasing sunsets. The water is my happy place. Give me a boat and a dolphin sighting, and I'm in heaven.
Looking back, I spent years searching for work that combined purpose with passion. I'm grateful for the lessons, the resilience, and the chance to help others find their place in the world.
As an agent, I'm smart, I learn quickly, and I have a strong grasp of numbers. I can work with any client at any price point. I genuinely care about my clients, including in sensitive situations like selling a home after a loved one’s passing, and many of them become lifelong friends. Living in Naples, I appreciate the welcoming and low-key community. My approach aligns with those values.
I provide full-service, concierge-level support at every price point, managing everything from finding handymen to helping with decorating or connecting clients to local resources. I love being a connector and always support small local businesses through my recommendations. I also lead a small, highly capable team who are an extension of me, so my clients are always well cared for, even when I travel. My approach is rooted in constant communication, empathy, and building lasting relationships. I ensure my clients feel supported throughout their real estate journey; I take the stress off their shoulders.
Sincerely,

Kim Jones
